The Children’s Orthopedia and Trauma offer a diagnosis and treatment approaches both for congenital injuries affecting the skeletal muscle, and the ones to develop during the infant and young ages. It cares also the bones trauma and ligament injuries (fractures) in this range of ages, quite different from the adult mechanism, in the injury anatomy, in imaging diagnosis and in the conservative or surgery treatment.
It also includes bone’s tumors injuries diagnosis and treatment, which are specific of these ages and which do not occur in adult’s life.
We also include the treatment of secondary orthopaedic alterations on neuromuscular processes as cerebral palsy and cleft spine, because of the abnormalities and articular dysfunctions caused.
All these processes are held for the support and encouraging of adolescent medicine and paediatric team of this Hospital.
